- As a part of our Real Help campaign, we invited the machine tool industry to tell us how an an Okuma would help their business. The grand prize was an Okuma machine tool, free for two years. We know that in these challenging times, people are looking for solutions and ways to do more with less. This was our way of providing Real Help to businesses with a need and a compelling story, and a way for us to reach a new audience with our products and solutions. Our president, Larry Schwartz provided a personal invitation and we put the word out via online, print and social media. We were overwhelmed with the response and received over 300 entries. We will be chronicling the installation and integration of a new Okuma Captain L370M horizontal lathe to the Grand Prize winner and you can see it all as it happens on our Winner's Blog.
